World Cup WITB’s - Group K & L

After eleven groups, England finally enters the World Cup WITBs tournament.

The good news for England fans? Football isn't involved this time.

Group K looks like one of the more competitive groups in the draw, with Colombia's Nico Echavarría and Portugal's Ricardo Gouveia battling for top spot. Meanwhile, Group L is dominated by England's Matt Fitzpatrick, one of the highest-ranked players in the entire competition and a genuine contender to go deep into the tournament.

Let's take a look at the bags representing the final two groups.

On paper, Group L is one of the most one-sided groups in the tournament. Matt Fitzpatrick's world ranking places him among the elite players in the entire competition and makes England overwhelming favourites to progress.

Group K vs Group L

Group K may be more competitive, but Group L possesses the standout star. Nico Echavarría and Ricardo Gouveia should provide a close contest at the top of Group K, while Matt Fitzpatrick appears to have a clear path through Group L.

From an equipment perspective, the groups offer plenty of variety. Titleist dominates Gouveia's setup, Srixon plays a major role in Echavarría's bag, while Fitzpatrick continues to trust a combination of Titleist, TaylorMade, Ping and Bettinardi equipment.

If rankings hold true, Colombia and England should emerge as group winners. However, as we've seen throughout this World Cup WITBs series, golf has a habit of producing surprises.
