THE HISTORY OF CALLAWAY

Callaway is based in California, USA and was founded in 1982 by Ely Callaway, a former president of Wilson Sporting Goods Company. Callaway himself died in 2021 aged 82, but the golf brand lives on and continues to go from strength to strength.

Callawayā€™s motto was to produce golf clubs and accessories that were ā€˜demonstrably superior and pleasingly differentā€™, and that ethos still sits at the heart of the brand as it continues to innovate and push more boundaries in golf.

Perhaps most famous for its drivers, Callawayā€™s Big Bertha and subsequently the ERC revolutionised the game of golf. With quality and performance coming as standard, golfers love Callaway drivers for their speed, power and precision.

Today, Callaway employs over 2000 people worldwide and its net income in 2022 was a whopping $300m.
