Jon Rahm Winning Bag | 2021 US Open

At the start of 2021, Jon Rahm signed a multi-year deal with Callaway Golf and changed out all 14 of his clubs, plus his golf ball. Making such large-scale changes could be seen as a big risk for an already established player, but it didn’t take long for the decision to pay off. On Sunday, Rahm captured his first ever major championship by winning the 2021 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines.

Just weeks before at the Memorial Tournament – where Rahm tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday while holding a six shot lead – he debuted a new prototype putter from Odyssey, called a White Hot OG Rossie S. The putter has a hosel design that matches up better with his stroke mechanics to help him find more consistency on putts from 8-to-10 feet. It also has Odyssey’s White Hot Microhinge face insert to produce a quicker roll off the face.

Since coming aboard the Callaway staff, Rahm and the company have worked closely to get him fit into equipment that matches up to his particular needs.

So which clubs did he use, see below:

+1.9 strokes gained off the tee – his driving was both long and remarkably accurate, regularly finding fairways and setting him up perfectly for his approach clubs.

The “Sub‑Zero” moniker typically means a lower centre of gravity (CG) and reduced spin, which helps deliver a flatter ball flight and more roll, ideal for long, controlled drives from the fairway or tee.

5 Wood: Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond T prototype

This 5-wood is designed for a smoother, higher flight, serving as a bridge between iron play and longer woods. Its loft and shaft setup will favour accuracy and soft landing on greens.

Irons: Callaway Apex TCB (4-PW)

+3.7 strokes gained on approach – one of the event's strongest performers in hitting greens in regulation. His iron play with the Callaway Apex TCB (4–PW) was exceptionally sharp, consistently leaving him with makeable birdie chances.

Wedge: Callaway Jaws Forged (52, 56 and 60 degrees)

Wedge: Callaway Jaws Forged (52, 56 and 60 degrees)

+1.8 strokes gained around the green – his wedge game (Callaway Jaws Forged 52°, 56°, 60°) was spot on, especially with up-and-downs, drop-in saves, and bunker escapes.

Putter: Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S prototype

+1.1 strokes gained on the greens – Rahm’s putting with the Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie S prototype was cool under pressure, draining clutch putts when it counted.
