Careers with golfclubs4cash

GolfClubs4Cash are Europe's largest secondhand golf equipment retailer.

Since golfclubs4cash were formed by our current owners Murray and Martin 12 years ago in a bedroom, the business has grown annually into the largest secondhand golf equipment retailer in Europe.

Despite that, we have managed to retain an amazing culture where every colleague belongs and knows what contribution they make to the business. We understand that despite technological advances, that we could not do what we do without our people and their passion.

Whether you see us as the next step in your career or for your first role we see it as our duty to help develop you.

What we do:

Getting our products ready for sale takes a lot of work whilst supporting our customers involves a lot of dedicated colleagues.

Here are just a few things our teams do:

Getting our stock on our website

  1. We source and buy our stock then add it to our internal systems which involves collecting items from the majority of golf clubs in the UK as well as from customers who can also bring their goods into our stores, receive a quote online or send them through the post to our dedicated team.

We then have colleagues who clean the clubs and carry out any necessary repairs, (swap over a worn grip etc), before handing them to our professional photographers so the customer can see the actual item for sale in glorious closeup detail.

Each week we take over 60,000 photographs which are then added to our product listings for display on our website and other channels.

  2. Once an order is placed, our dispatch team kick into action making sure the goods are safely packed and sent on their way in environmentally friendly packaging. We also utilise Carbon Neutral methods of delivery where available via the UKs best known and trusted couriers.

  3. In our stores, our "golf mad" colleagues help customers of all skill sets, find the right products and impart advice to help their game.

And if a customer has a question or a problem, our customer service colleagues are ready to assist in an exceptional manner, as proven by our 5-star Trustpilot status.

  4. On top of this we have exceptional web development, human resource and operational teams - all there to ensure we continue to improve our reputation and facilitate our customers needs.

My Golfing Story:
"Though I’ve never played golf myself, working at Golfclubs4cash has profoundly enhanced my knowledge and interest in golf. Each day, I’m surrounded by passionate players and dedicated professionals who share stories of their triumphs and challenges on the course.

Watching others experience the thrill of a perfect shot has ignited a curiosity in me that I never expected. Now, I find myself eagerly following tournaments, dreaming of the day when I might finally take my first swing."
My Golfclubs4cash Story:
"I began my journey at Golfclubs4cash as a cleaner, a role that taught me the importance of hard work and attention to detail. As I honed my skills and deepened my understanding of operations, I moved up the ranks, ultimately becoming the dispatch supervisor before moving to my communications role.

My journey from cleaning to leadership has been incredibly rewarding, demonstrating that even with little golf knowledge a lot can be achieved in this business."

What do you love about working for GC4C:
"I absolutely love working at Golfclubs4cash because every day is different and there's always something new to learn. I feel like I'm constantly being challenged and that's a great feeling. Working with such amazing people has made all the difference in my job and it is a pleasure to work with such an amazing company."

Mike Currie - Warrington Operations

My Golfing Story:
"I originally started playing golf with my Grandad at 7-8 when walking his dog in the park. Got a love for it from there.

I eventually joined local municipal at age 13 and then the Royal Liverpool at 14, making it onto the Junior scratch team at 15 playing off 3. Recently I joined a course in Wirral called Bromborough and have now got back down to 3 handicap!"
My Golfclubs4cash Story:
"I joined GC4C in 2022 after over a decade of running Miller & Carter restaurants. After falling out of love with the service trade, I decided I needed a job where I could come to work every day and love what I do and have some passion back in my career. Since joining I have found exactly that. After working in the office in operations for the past 18 months, we have made some great achievements and together we have moved the business forward to new levels.

Shortly I will be taking over from John as Facilities Manager and I am chomping at the bit to get stuck into the 2025 year and seeing what records we can break and how we can move the team and the business forward."

What do you love about working for GC4C:
"Coming to work every day with a great group of people that love golf as much as I do and share a mentality of getting the job done, has been a life changing step for me. I play more golf than I ever have done which only increases my love of the sport. The guys at Warrington get on better than any team I've ever worked with and that knowledge that we all do what is needed, when it's needed, make us a fantastic team."

Joe Price - Warrington Operations

My Golfing Story:
"I started playing golf when I was 7 years old with my Grandad when he bought me my first set of clubs for my birthday, but I always had an interest in golf from an early age.

One of my earliest memories that I can remember is watching Tiger Woods win his second green jacket at The Masters in 2001. After watching Tiger win, I instantly wanted to become a member of a golf course and have been a member of the same one ever since."
My Golfclubs4cash Story:
"I joined GolfClubs4Cash in February working in our Warrington Operations Team and it has been one of the best decisions I've made. I was a chef for 10 years and have been in and out of kitchens for different companies over that period but ran out of steam towards the end and needed a change.

After joining GC4C I quickly realised how important it is to do something that you have an interest in, I'm now working with a group of people that all share the same hobby and has reignited my love for the game after not playing for around 4 years. I'll be starting a new role as Assistant Facilities Manager soon;

I can't wait to see what we can all achieve together and watch the business grow from strength to strength."

What do you love about working for GC4C:
"Even now every day is a school day and you'd be surprised how much you can learn about something you already thought you had good knowledge of. Each day is different and can throw some unexpected challenges at you but, each member of staff that works with us is never afraid of getting stuck in and helping achieve better every day."

Adam Harrison - Online Associate (Warrington)

My Golfing Story:
"I’ve been playing golf since I was 11. I started at the driving range with my dad and brother and eventually got out and played a 9-hole course nearby. After taking a few years away from golf, focusing on other sports, I then joined a club when I was 20 with a few of my friends. After winning a few comps, I was hooked.

After making the permanent move to New Zealand in 2017 I took my clubs with me and played as much as I could and haven’t really stopped playing since."
My Golfclubs4cash Story:
"I joined Golfclubs4cash in March this year, after visiting last year whilst visiting the UK before moving back and have enjoyed a change of industry, having spent the last 12 years in hospitality. I joined the listing team and have been here for some big milestones for the business and have watched the business grow in my relatively short amount of time I have been here. I’m excited to be here for the continued growth of the business and hope to play a role in aiding the growth of the Warrington store."

What do you love about working for GC4C:
"The team and working environment make GolfClubs4Cash in Warrington a brilliant place to work and I haven’t had a bad day since I started. I enjoy the flexibility and autonomy of working here.

The day-to-day conversations with my colleagues and how well everyone works together is something that I appreciate. Having ran businesses myself, I aspire to create a similar working environment within teams. With a melting pot of managerial styles here, and I can emulate these aspects of each of my superiors and implement them in my own managerial style when I progress into a more senior role within the business."

Anthony Blaney - Edinburgh Store

My Golfing Story:
"I began my golfing journey at the age of three and joined my first club, Liberton Golf Club, when I was ten. There, I was fortunate to be part of an exceptional junior team that consistently triumphed in various competitions.

From 2008 to 2012, I had the honor of representing Scotland internationally, which took me to numerous countries and allowed me to compete against some of the best players in the world. I shared the course with talented golfers such as Jon Rahm, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Robert MacIntyre."
During the Boys Home Internationals in 2011 and 2012, I partnered with a young Ewan Ferguson, who has since won three titles on the DP World Tour. With my experience at the time, I took him under my wing, and together we secured several victories.

Additionally, I set the course record at Roxburgh Golf Club with an 8-under 64 in 2012 at the age of 18. I believe that record was recently surpassed by a professional this past summer unfortunately.

My Golfclubs4cash Story:

"I joined the company on August 28, 2017, when we operated a single unit at Loanhead, Edinburgh. Fast forward seven years, and I have served as Assistant Store Manager for the past three years. We have since expanded to six locations in Edinburgh and opened a store in Warrington, both of which are thriving. It’s been inspiring to witness the company’s growth and success during this time."

What do you love about working for GC4C:
"I appreciate the dynamic nature of working in the shop, where each day presents new challenges and opportunities. It’s rewarding to assist a diverse range of golfers, from novices embarking on their journey to seasoned professionals seeking specialised equipment to enhance their performance in tournaments.

Moreover, the camaraderie within the company is remarkable. There exists a profound sense of connection among colleagues, fostering an environment where support is readily available. Regardless of the challenges one may face, it is reassuring to know that assistance from both peers and the organisation is always at hand."
