10: Odyssey

How very poetic that Odyssey should come in at our first slot - number ten - as we venture on our very own golfing odyssey through our most popular golf brands. Odyssey putters and wedges are particularly well-known and highly sought-after. This number ten entry is a bit of a red herring, actually, because in 1997 Odyssey was acquired by Callaway Golf (and that’s not the last you’ll be hearing about them. So, while Callaway is the official ‘parent’ brand of Odyssey, we still think it deserves a place at number ten in its own right, if for no other reason than that an Odyssey putter is always in demand at golfclubs4cash.

It’s the four biggest hitters in golf left to go, but which of them will make it into our highly coveted number one slot. We can tell you’re on the edges of your seats, so without further ado, let’s crack on.

The worthy occupant of the number four slot on our list of most popular golfing brands goes to Titleist. This is a name that needs no introduction – Titleist golf clubs have been on golfers’ Christmas lists for a long time now.

Whether it’s Titleist drivers, irons, fairways or wedges, there’s something for golfers of all abilities in the Titleist range. 3: Callaway Golf

We told you that the mighty Callaway would be coming up again soon, and here it is. Callaway Golf manufactures some of the best golf clubs on the planet, and our customers are here for it all. Whether it’s the Callaway Mavrik driver (which ranked at number five in our top ten second-hand drivers) or the Epic Speed (which made the number two slot), Callaway drivers are some of the best on the market. 2: PING

PING Golf is the deserved occupant of the number two slot on our list of most popular golfing brands through the ages. But right now we have a question for you. If PING has made it into the number two slot, then WHO is going to be at number one? Which massive golf brand have we yet to mention? There are no prizes for guessing, apart from bragging rights and a strong sense of smugness to those who guess right…

Anyway, let’s not take the focus off PING just yet, because it’s a golf brand to be celebrated. It celebrated its 60th birthday back in 2019, and it’s named after that satisfying sound that the club head makes when it comes into contact with the ball at the sweet spot.
