THE TIMELESS TRENDS
Golf fashion trends will come and go, but the one thing you can always expect is that designs will be inspired by three things that never go out of fashion: comfort, style and performance. If your golf clothing doesn’t tick all of these boxes, then you’ll find yourself held back on the golf course - no matter how good you look.

WHAT’S NEW IN 2023
In line with recent trends, we have seen golf clubs relax their rules around golf clothing a little. While denim clothing such as jeans is never likely to be allowed (and neither is it that practical), we are seeing a subtle shift in golf trouser designs from classic golf styles to a more modern, streetwear style. Brands are embracing a more relaxed style to appeal to a wider variety of preferences - particularly in golf jackets.
GOLF CLOTHING PATTERNS ARE ‘SAME SAME BUT DIFFERENT’
Repeat patterns and micro-prints on golf jumpers never go out of style, and we are seeing plenty of those featured on clothing at golf clubs up and down the country. Paid, houndstooth, micro-stripe and checkerboard patterns are such classic elements of timeless golfing style, so don’t expect them to go anywhere. You’ll also spot flower and nature-inspired patterns, along with geo-print being featured on many of this year’s golf tops.
In terms of what comes next, don’t be surprised to see more colour blocking on cuffs, sleeves and necklines. We’re seeing this style being used more and more creatively, and we reckon it’s here to stay.
TEXTURES ARE MORE TACTILE
Golfers are choosing clothes that are made from material that is beautiful to the touch, and also breathable to suit a variety of different weather conditions. Golf clothing manufacturers know this, and they’re deliberately making golf apparel such as thermals and gilets/vests out of the most comfortable materials.
GOLFERS ARE DEMANDING THE SUSTAINABLE, ETHICAL CHOICE
With more and more people becoming far more aware of the impact of their buying choices on the planet, there is a great demand for clothing that is made from material that is ethical and sustainable. Whether that’s recycled materials, regenerative fibres or less packaging, there is a big shift towards consumers requesting more environmentally conscious golf clothing.
